The Industrial
Pumps product platform, represented by Moyno, Inc., is the global
leader in the supply of progressing cavity pumps with a 15% worldwide
market share. Moyno progressing cavity pumps serve the wastewater
treatment, specialty chemicals, food & beverage, pulp & paper
and oil & gas industries. Moyno products are versatile enough
to handle a wide range of materials including water-like fluids and
shear-sensitive mixtures, as well as viscous, abrasive, solids-laden
slurries and sludges.
Internal growth is fueled by major product introductions such as the
Moyno Ultra® Technologies, the Moyno® Sanitary High Pressure
Pump and the new Moyno® 2000 HS System.
Moyno applies its Ultra® product technologies, as well as its
applications engineering expertise, to deliver superior product performance
and service. The end result for the customer is increased value in
the form of cost savings, profit enhancements, revenue growth or risk
avoidance.
The new Moyno® 2000 HS System is the cost-effective alternative
to expensive, high-maintenance piston pumps and open conveyors for
dewatered sludge transfer in municipal
wastewater treatment. It features an integral hopper with a twin-screw
auger feeder and the new Moyno G4 progressing cavity pump that efficiently
handles semi-dry, high solids content, dewatered sludge. Moyno technology
is world renowned for effectively handling highly viscous products.
The new system features a non-pulsing flow, which translates into
significantly lower operating pressures. Its twin-screw feeder supplies
a constant pressurized feed rate to the pump resulting in a 100% pump
cavity fill rate. The enhanced design of the Ultra-Feed® pump
rotor further contributes to superior volumetric efficiency.
Moyno has also acquired a new line of grinders called the Moyno®
Annihilator that complements its extensive wastewater treatment
product offering This twin shaft solids reduction unit is designed
for trouble-free performance in a variety of installations including
sewage lift stations, head works and sludge processing systems.
The Annihilator's field-proven design provides maximum shredding strength
and prolongs the service life of downstream equipment such as pumps,
sensors, monitors and valves. For even greater performance, the Annihilator
is fitted with patented, toothed cutting spacers that increase the
unit's efficiency, further decrease particle size and reduce the risk
of failure from ragging. An exclusive seal/bearing cartridge assembly
eliminates the need to disassemble the entire grinder when servicing
seals and bearings.
The new Moyno® Vertical Pump, has also opened up a variety of
new opportunities for Moyno on offshore platforms, oil refineries,
wastewater treatment facilities and processing plants as a solution
for draining sump pits and storage tanks.

Mixing |

Robbins & Myers supplies
industrial mixing equipment through its Chemineer, Inc. business unit.
Chemineer has a large presence in the specialty chemicals, agri-chemical,
pharmaceutical, biotechnology, water treatment and pulp & paper
industries. It manufactures and markets a complete line of industrial
mixing equipment, including top-, side- and bottom-entering, belt-
or gear-driven, portable and fixed mount mixers and agitators, as
well as static mixers, heat exchangers, and high-shear mixers.
Several recent product introductions have strengthened the business
unit's offerings to its served markets and opened opportunities to
serve new market segments. For applications involving fluids with
extreme viscosity or volume ratios, the most common limiting factor
in static mixer design is allowable length |
 |
 |
The new Kenics® KMX Static
Mixer features a patent pending concave blade design that generates
superior mixing per unit length for laminar flow and high/low viscosity
ratio applications. The new Kenics® KMVX Heat Exchanger is engineered
for superior efficiency and low cost in medium viscosity process heating/cooling
applications. It offers dramatically improved heat transfer coefficients.
Chemineer has also launched the new Chemineer XPress portable
mixer and the new DT top-entering mixer that offer superior performance,
reduced maintenance costs, and fast delivery. This high-performance
package offers significant user benefits through its modular design
and extensive configuration, materials of construction, impellers
and sealing and mounting options.
Revolutionary in its design, the new Nimix Mixing System provides
a totally enclosed, low shear, non-intrusive mixing technology that
imparts powerful bottom-to-top circulation to easily handle a variety
of fluids including suspended solids. The new Nimix Mixing System
is ideal for applications that require higher levels of product
purity or those involving noxious, corrosive or toxic substances.
The unit's completely sealed mixing chamber provides an intrinsically
safe, emission-free processing environment with zero particulate
shedding.
